TRANSATLANTIC BRIDGE

// film crew

The Bridge is a long-term project by avant-garde theatre pioneer Richard Foreman and his close collaborator Sophie Havilland. They began developing The Bridge Project in 2004 to promote international art exchange through workshops, symposia, theatre productions, visual arts presentations, performances and multi-media projects.

The latest phase of this complex project, in which Slovenian artists and the associated film crew work with colleagues from New York, took place in one of the historic districts of Harlem, New York, on a site built in 1886 and played an important role in the history of African Americans and the so-called Harlem Renaissance. Directed by Foreman and Haviland, the creators designed materials for a multi-media performative structure – TRANSATLANTIC (TRANSATLANTIC BRIDGE) – in accordance with Foreman’s typical generative poetics. more
